![]() Now, the xml files that the machines generate will always have a new filename as it names the files with the date & time the file was generated - in the format 'machineID yyyymmddhhmmss.xml' Part of the macro (which i already have) will then copy certain cells from Sheet1 & put them into their respective worksheet (2-4). ![]() ![]() What i'm trying to achieve is to have a button on each of the machine worksheets (Sheets 2-4) which when clicked on will go to their respective folder & import the xml file within to Sheet1. Sheet1 will be the import sheet, Sheet2, 3 & 4 will be for a history of each machine's data. I have a workbook (filename - history.xls) with 4 worksheets (Sheet1, 2, 3 & 4) open on the pc. The machines send these xml files to a folder on the pc (a different folder for each machine). I have setup the machines to generate xml files, these files containing various machine data which will import directly into Excel (column headers & then rows of data). I have 3 machines & a pc on the same network.
